서울의 중심인 경복궁 인근의 서촌 마을에 위치한 작은 주얼리 아틀리에인 어고는 프라이빗한 상담을 기반으로한 주얼리 브랜드이다. 스킨톤의 컬러와 반지를 닮은 곡선의 형태를 기본 S.I로 삼아 공간을 전개한다. 새로 확장한 쇼룸에서는 이런 S.I를 기반으로 더 유려하고 개인화된 고객 경험을 선보인다. 새로운 공간 경험을 또 하나의 S.I로 정의하여 공간 속 공간이라는 컨셉으로 풀어내었다.
주얼리 상담과 전시가 이루어지는 상담실과 쇼룸의 공간을 다른 공간들과 분리시켜 깊은 브라운 톤의 매스로 구성하였다. 모든 공간은 제품을 닮은 곡선으로 유려하게 이어진다. 스킨톤의 바탕 공간에 이 브라운 톤의 매스를 관입시켜 극적인 대비를 연출하였다. 이를 통해 보다 몰입감 있고 자연스러운 고객 동선을 만들고자 하였다. 거울이라는 장치를 통해 공간을 구성하는 집기의 매스가 서로 이어진 듯 한 착시를 불러일으킨다. 거울의 매스와 더불어 이어지는 바닥의 패턴을 통해 쇼룸과 상담실의 공간을 자연스럽게 연결하고자 하였다.
AGO is a small jewelry atelier located in Seochon village, near Gyeongbokgung Palace at the heart of Seoul — a private, consultation-based jewelry brand. The space unfolds using skin-tone colors and ring-like curves as its foundational spatial identity (S.I.), expressed as a concept of “a space within a space”.
The consultation room and showroom are separated from the surrounding areas and composed as a deep brown-toned mass. Every space flows seamlessly through curves that echo the jewelry itself. This brown mass is inserted into the skin-toned backdrop, creating a dramatic contrast that produces a more immersive and intuitive flow for clients moving through the space. Through the device of mirrors, the masses of the furniture and fixtures appear to connect with one another, creating an illusion of continuity. A floor pattern that extends from the mirrored mass naturally links the two separated rooms together.
